Latest Progress and Design Optimization of the First HIsmelt Process in China

摘要

Smelting reduction iron making technology is an important direction in the development of low carbon iron making technology. HIsmelt process is the smelting reduction technology, which has been verified by industrial production, can completely get rid of coke. The main technical path of Hismelt process optimization is proposed from several aspects such as hearth refractory, iron ore fines preheating, gas purification, injection of ore and coal, and so on, which is based on the summary of Australia Kwinana plant production practice with combination of engineering and construction practice of the first Hismelt project in China, so as to the latest progress of the first HIsmelt plant in China was introduced.
