The Transition from Risk Graphs to LOPA and the Timing of Hazard and Risk Analysis - (PPT)

The presentation is intended to share our practical experience of utilizing risk graphs in the Hazard & Risk Analysis process and their associated pitfalls. Further to this; how we have adopted the Layer of Protection Analysis approach to address the issues associated with risk graphs. Finally, we have observed difficulties in the appropriate timing of SIL determination and the presentation is intended to outline how this can be optimized.
