Impact of Education on the Quality of Diabetes Care in Germany

摘要

This article summarizes population-based data measuring the quality of diabetes care in Germany. For more than 10 years, structured educational programmes for different forms of diabetes treatment have been implemented in hospitals and in the ambulatory health care system throughout Germany. These population-based data indicate that the quality of care in type 2 diabetes in Germany is not as poor as many people assume.
