摘要

Fluids, by the physical actions which they exercise (pressure, thermics exchanges,..) contribute in a direct or indirect way to the good functioning of the majority of car systems, among which the engine, the car body which withstands and exploits the aerodynamics forces. Fluid dynamics seems so as one of main disciplines contributing to the success of development of a new vehicle. This context of strong impact of fluid dynamics on a motorcar imposes on the car manufacturer to have a permanent vision of: Car performances depending on fluid dynamics; The performances of the numerical and physical tools in ownership of the car manufacturer; The strategy of improvement of the tools: progress dedicated to every tool, complementarity between numerical and- physical tools, capacity of simulating multi-physics; The integration of the fluid dynamics simulating tools, in the general process of development of a vehicle.
