A new wastewater treatment equipment -Bi-extemal recycling Biological Fluidized Bed (BRBFB) is introduced. Anaerobic digestion, aerobic aeration and settlement processes followed a fixed sequential procedure are compacted into this reactor. As there is no waste sludge to be treated in this system, less secondary contamination is produced. The removal mechanism of CODCr in each single process and the optimization of the combined operation procedure in the system are determined for a 12-hour cycle including an inflow process, anaerobic digestion process (D, 4 hr), an aerobic aeration process (A, 4 hr), a settlement process (S, 1 hr), an outflow process (O, 0.5 hr) and a recess process (R, 3.5hr). Utilizing BRBFB to treat a synthetic dying wastewater, 90 % of CODcr is removed for a higher concentration water (CODcr 1000-1200mg/L) and 82% of CODcr is removed for a lower concentration water (CODcr 400-600mg/L). Near 100% color removal and discharging standards for industry wastewater are achieved. It is demonstrated that the BRBFB was an effective equipment both in energy and in space
