Machine Selection in a Flexible Manufacturing Cell Using Digraph and Matrix Methods

This paper presents a methodology for machine selection in a flexible manufacturing cell using digraph and matrix methods. A machine selection index is proposed that evaluates and ranks machines for a given machine selection problem. An example is included to illustrate the approach.
