Basic hygric and thermal parameters of high performance concrete (HPC) C90/105 containing microsilica are determined in the paper and compared to the properties of the same mixture C60/75 without microsilica. Both mixtures are also prepared in two other aggregate-size alternatives, namely in the form of cement mortar and cement paste, and their hygric and thermal properties compared to the basic HPC mixtures. The measured results show that the effects of presence of both microsilica and the aggregate and size of aggregate on the moisture and heat transport parameters of HPC are very significant. Water and heat transport parameters are found to be affected by these factors in a much more significant way than water vapour transport parameters.
