Modern knowledge work demands a stimulating environment

Despite the widespread use of computer technology, administration processes have remained unchanged for decades. There is plenty of monotonous office work around, and the resulting lack of physical exercise has led to a number of civilisation diseases. Lack of movement causes physical problems as well as greatly restricting our mental ability. Office workers of the future will, nevertheless, be expected to combine top mobility, flexibility and creativity. The big challenge we will face will be how to increase the productivity of our knowledge workers. This calls for interdisciplinary teamwork and a stimulating environment that provides scope for free thought. The investments are quantifiable - the results may be overwhelming: as process times are cut significantly, the quality of results will improve.
