enhancement in polypropylene,TPOs,and other polyolefins;particularly for the automotive industry.Scratch resistance is an important attribute of automotive components that has recently come under more detailed study.Luzenac,along with other investigators,is studying scratch behavior of talc-reinforced polyolefins.Characteristics such as mar,scratch whitening,and critical load for onset of stress(scratch)whitening are being more clearly defined and evaluated.This paper describes some of Luzenac's scratch &mar resistance findings for talc-reinforced polyolefin systems to date.
