The COSMOS HST treasury project is a panchromatic imaging and spectroscopic survey of a 2 square-degree field designed to probe galaxy and SMBH (super-massive black hole) evolution as a function of cosmic environment. It is the largest contiguous field ever mapped by HST. Numerous state-of-the-art imaging campaigns at all wavelengths (X-ray to cm) are underway for the COSMOS HST field. The field is currently imaged at 1.4 GHz with the NRAO Very Large Array (VLA) as part of the VLA-COSMOS large project, a pilot project provided the initial astrometry for the entire COSMOS survey. The aim of the large VLA-COSMOS project is to study dust-obscured star formation and evolution of AGNs as a function of redshift and environment.
