Fillers have been used in corrosion resistance applications for many years. Their primary benefit is lowered overall raw material costs while maintaining suitable performance and service life of the composite. This research examines the critical factors to consider when screening inert mineral fillers and their impact on the corrosion resistance of the cured composite. The analysis looks at several combinations of the data to determine their performance in various environments. This study was done over twelve months on composites made from a standard unsaturated isophthalic polyester corrosion resistance polymer and two inert mineral fillers.
