A new technique on the preparation of Silver iodide nano-powder from salt of silver and iodide ethanol solutions has been developed. Optimum preparing conditions were obtained through a series of experiments and Latin square experiments. Under these conditions, the yield of CuI reached 95%. The product was characterized. The results show that the product takes a near-spherical shape with an average particle size of 30nm. Optimum preparing conditions is C{sub}(kI)=0.009mol/l, C{sub}(AgNO{sub}3)=0.009mol/l, T=40°C, t=2h.
