摘要

Stress relaxation process at the room temperature bonded interface was discussed based on the calculated results, which were carried out by using a two-dimensional model of bonded interface zone. Because of surface roughness existing at the faying surface, elastic stress remains after bonding. This is a kind of residual stress and gradually disappears after bonding. This process was simulated as a change of stress distribution. It was found that the surface roughness strikingly affects the stress relaxation process and finer surface roughness has an advantage for pressureless room temperature bonding.
