Changes in Technology Skills of Ira-Service Teachers After Technology Integration Education

The purpose of this paper will report on an innovative teaching technique that integrates technology education over a one-week period and provides assistance to the teacher for six months. The study will measure changes in teacher's perceived skills,attitudes and practices using technology to enhance their teaching and student learning. Training in technology skills, K-12 public schools, often occur as time permits. That time may be consumed in short bursts of technology training or concentrated inweek-long workshops. Training that is infused often occurs when the skills are needed, in a just-in-time fashion. This paper will investigate the skills acquired after a week-long workshop followed by six months of technical assistance provided to teachers creating their own technology-enhanced teaching and learning materials.
