Technical development for environmentally friendly & high performance lubricating oil and grease is important in response to natural resources saving, energy saving, and the global environmental preservation. Organo-bismuth compounds are environmentally friendly elements as lubricity additives and show excellent performance of the extreme pressure and the anti-wear properties. The replacement of lead series extreme pressure additives with the additives is expected. We reported the combination effects of organo-bismuth additive of Bismuth Dialkyl Dithiocarbamate (BiDTC) and ZnDTP in greases. This report presents the effects of dose change of ZnDTP additives on the friction and wear characteristics under the constant additive amount of BiDTC.
