The impact of the touch on sensory perception that human have from their environment is not any more to demonstrate. By the multitude of information which it conveys (contact, pressure, stretching, roughness, vibrations, heat.), thanks to mechanoreceptors variously distributed under the surface of the skin (50 mechanoreceptors by 100 mm~2 on average and up to 2500 per cm~2 on the pulp of the fingers). The touch is the most important of the 5 senses in the development of human being.
