Development of High Lubricating Grease for Splines

摘要

Various friction parts are used in car components; many of them require grease lubrication. The Starter spline requires adhesion resistance and the slipping bearing requires wear resistance. Thus both required specially made grease. But in recent years, there has been a reduction in the size of car components which has caused spline and slipping bearing grease contamination, which is suspected to damage the function of the Starter. Therefore, in this study, we developed a new grease for the spline that has both adhesion and wear resistance.
