Friction properties of the porous rubber under wet condition

In recent years, porous rubber is often used as a tread matrix for studless tire. It is said that pores not only lower the elastic modulus of rubber, but remove water between the tire tread and the wet road surface. However, the water removal by the porous rubber is not clearly understood. In this study, the condition that the pore removes water was investigated.
