Particleboard press machines and stenter machines equipped with chains use oil at temperatures of 200°C or higher in contact with air at thin film. For chain lubricating oil used at high temperatures, it is important that the oil is not lost and that an oil film can be maintained for prolonged periods of time at these temperatures. Using a thin-film evaporation test, the influence of base oil and antioxidants on the performance of residual oil in a high-temperature environment was examined in this study.
