The rubber, plastic, ceramic and babbit alloy pressure and the film thickness. are most widely used materials of water lubricated bearings. The emulsion has the advantages of good coolant, fire retardant and low cost, so it becomes the potential operating fluid and lubricant in production. Considering the inertia force in Reynolds equation, the numerical simulation of elastohydrodynamic lubrication (EHL) for emulsion-lubricated composite plastic bearings was made in the paper, and the effects of the load, the speed and the shaft diameter on the pressure and the film thickness were discussed.
