As a substitute resource of natural sand, artificial sand unavoidably contains a certain stone powder during its production. In order to utilize this useful resource, it is necessary to research properties of concrete prepared with artificial sand containing stone powder at high content. In this paper, compressive strength, workability, and impermeability of concrete prepared with various cements and artificial sand containing stone powder at high content are experimentally studied on concretes with artificial sand and natural sand respectively. It is shown that artificial sand containing stone powder at high content preponderates over natural sand. The former can be used to prepare concretes of low or medium strength grades with cements of high strength grades.
