Observation on Decomposition Process of Alanate Familyby Transmission Electron Microscopy

Alanate family, such as NaAlH_4, LiAlH_4, MgAlH_4, have the same anion [AlH_4]. Hence, the properties of these MAlH_4 (M=Na, Li, Mg....) should be quite similar. But there are some differences on decomposition of alanate family. Such as no [AlH_6]~(3-) intermediate phase formed when dehydrogenation of MgAlH_4 is processed. Our research is aimed to understand the decomposition processes of alanate family by transmission electron microscopy (TEM).
