Explosions In The Manufacturing Industry: Data from the Hazardous Substances Emergency Events Surveillance (HSEES), 1996─2001

Of all manufacturing industry events reported to the Hazardous Substances Emergency Events Surveillance (HSEES) system, acute releases involving explosions accounted for the largest proportion of events with victims. This analysis describes the public health effects of these releases.
