The tribological properties of polyamide 66 (PA66) composite under dry conditions were investigated, which was filled with hard particles or fiber. Furthermore, how the hard fillers affected on the wear properties was elucidated. The friction coefficients of pure PA66 tended to be larger than those of the other composites. The specific wear rates sharply increased with an increase in contact pressure after a critical contact pressure. The RBC particles reduced the dimensionless parameter S_(sc), i.e., prevented entirely plastic flow. The specific wear rates of all materials sharply increased as the parameter S_(sc) increased over 1.0. Hard filler filled PA66 showed high wear resistance even though the parameter S_(sc) exceeded 1.0.
