摘要

The sealing performance of reciprocating seal is investigated in this study by a numerical approach. The commercial code Abaqus is used to develop finite elements models of the rod seal contact. The analysis focuses on the contact pressure evolution and the way this contact pressure distribution can explain the sealing performance. The methodology is presented and the obtained results are discussed.
