EUREF Activities in Bulgaria - National Report

According to the newly accepted Low for Geodesy and Cartography, State Gazette 29, April 7 2006, the responsibilities for the geodetic activities, related to EUREF, in Republic of Bulgaria are distributed in the following way: the Military Geographic Service (MGS) at Bulgarian Army is responsible for maintenance of the National GPS Network and maintenance of the main gravimetric and magnetic networks. The National Geodetic, Cartographic and Cadastre Agency is responsible for maintenance of the local geodetic networks, the National Vertical Network and tide gauge network and for the geodetic, cartographic and cadastre data base. All these activities are performed in close cooperation and active participation with Central Laboratory of Geodesy (CLG) at Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Geodetic Faculty at University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy.
