摘要

The main scope of the present paper is to give a contribution in determining the best solution to reduce vibration in railway tracks. Considering the increasing attention towards the environment and its safeguard, railway transportation seems to be the most eco-friendly. However the problem of vibration emission remains, especially close to urban areas. In the present paper three types of innovative railway tracks have been study by means of numerical experimental analyses concerning their static and dynamic behaviour. The best solution has been proposed in case of ballasted, slab and paved-in track to provide a criterion to design innovative railway tracks. A very innovative aspect consists of the introduction of elastomeric elements made of recycled rubber which makes this application more and more interesting.
