Simulation Platform of Fault Investigation for Electrical Apparatus Control System

A platform is presented in order to achieve on-line fault simulation and experimental validation for electrical apparatus control system. Distributed control area network field bus is adopted as simulation platform topology in order to realize distributed and fast on-line fault information transmission. The platform has hierarchical layer architecture, the top layer named modeling which acts as electrical apparatus modeling setup and modeling analysis, the middle layer named prototype which acts as control management and system communication among subsystem, the bottom layer includes some physical field devices, and act as simulation modules. Software structure is divided into simulation system, real-time control system and unit control system from top to bottom according to hierarchical architecture. Field bus application layer protocol is modified to meet fault message type, and data transmission simulation for fault message is analyzed. The result shows that the platform can meet fault simulation requirement in electrical apparatus control system.
