Application and Research of the New Type Absolute Encoder in Portable Theodolites

Owing to the reason that the portable theodolite with the absolute zero-position must be pass zero-position when it is begin to work and the zero is instability, so it couldn't demarcate a certain azimuth for a long time. In order to develop a portable theodolite with the absolute encoder, bases on the theory of parallel encode, puts forward a sensor theory which using the left cycle encode serial encoder, uses CCD as the induction and subdivision component, carries the sensor encoder through software distinguish and subdivision. The experiment result shows that the serial encoder can become a new type angle sensor.
