This paper introduces a method that can test for capability index of Clock Spring fleetly and effectively and designing idea of test apparatus, and illuminates function and principle of every part of test apparatus. The test apparatus was designed on the basis of the requirement of clock spring capability. It mainly consist of five parts: driving and locating part, optical identifying test part, inspecting and controlling part, display and sensor, etc. Major function of driving and locating part is to fa workpiece and cause workpiece rotate according to demand and stop. Responsibility of optical identifying test part is to receive and transform optical signal into electrical signal, and then send it to controlling part. Inspecting and controlling part is central part, It identify and conduct electrical signal and control electromotor accurate locating. Display is used to make some important parameters display on display, so as that the staff could observe directly. Sensor can measure dynamic torque to ensure the safe test of the workpiece. Experiment testify that the test apparatus is steady, high effective and economical.
