A novel electrochemical study of double-stranded (ds)DNA-drug interaction was proposed using a coppe A novel strategy of amperometric assay of double-stranded (ds) DNA-drug interaction was developed, based on an electrocatalytic activity of DNA-bound copper ion which is reversibly inhibited by DNA-binding drug, by using copper ion-incorporating DNA/polyallylamine membrane-coated electrode, which enabled a kinetic analysis of DNA-drug interaction based on the change of steady-state catalytic current in a similar manner of interference-based enzyme electrode.
