In this thesis, the CO_2 gas sensors are fabricated by NASICON (Na Super Ion Conductor) material. The tube-type CO_2 sensor is fabricated and the sensing electrode is LbCOrBaCOj binary carbonates (1:1.5 in mol ratio). The concentration of CO_2 is from 300ppm to 3000ppm, and the sensitivity of the sensor is 62.3mV/decade. Under the concentration of lOOOppm, the responding and recovering times (90%) are 20s and 2min, respectively. If the sensing electrode doped with certain binary oxides, the steady time of the sensor can reduce greatly (from 30min to 5min) and the stability of the device is very good.
