Genomic DNA was isolated from the peripheral lymphocytes of 170 patients with gastric carcinoma and 140 age- and sex- matched control subjects. Microarray-based method using dual-color fluorescence hybridization was used to examine the polymorphisms of MTHFR genes C677T and A1298C and the relation between these genotypes and risk of gastric carcinoma was analyzed. The results showed that C677T polymorphism in the MTHFR gene was a risk of carcinogenesis of gastric carcinoma in the Chinese population.
