New Style of Automatic Self Cleaning Filters for Mill Cooling Water - Phase II

A paper was presented on Phase I of this project at AISTech 2004 in the "Maintenance and Processes II" session. That paper described the equipment that was installed for a new cooling water filtration system in a hot-roll mill producing Oil Country Tubular Goods, Line Pipe, Standard Pipe, Coupling Stock and Mechanical Tube. This new technology provided a reliable and efficient self-cleaning filtration system to maintain high cooling water quality. This Phase II paper will provide real operational, maintenance and water quality data which directly influences productivity.
