Application of Single-sided Inductive Strip Measurement (EMG VK1) in Rolling Mills a Robust and Accurate Method for Strip Position Measurement

Based on more than 20 installation worldwide the sensor system VKI is a reliable strip position measurement for integration into rolling mills. It uses a single sided non optical measuring principle with accurate strip position measurement of metal foils and strips. As EMG is an independent supplier of sensing and control equipment for the metals industry, the VKI sensor system can be used with all kinds of flatness measuring rolls with a wide variety of communication protocols.
