Foundations '04 Executive Summary

The Workshop on Foundations for Verification and Validation (V&V) in the 21st Century, better known as Foundations '04, was held 13-15 October 2004 at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona (USA). Leveraging the findings of the first Foundations Workshop, Foundations '02, Foundations '04 focused on the relationship between VV&A, risk management, and uncertainty identification and quantification. This Executive Summary describes the relationship between the two Foundations Workshops; the objectives, products, and conclusions of Foundations '04; as well as some recommendations for the road forward.
