摘要

The main factor in lake eutrophication is an increase in nutrient loading, especially of phosphorus, which stimulates the growth of phytoplankton. Although the importance of phosphorus in the eutrophication process of various water bodies is well documented, there is relatively little experimental work on the responses of freshwater phytoplankton communities to phosphorus addition. In the present study, phosphorus addition experiments were conducted for the purpose of measuring the growth rate of algae and changes of phytoplankton species in a shallow urban lake environment, with special emphasis on the influence of nutrients.
