ASYMPTOTICS FOR THE FIRST SIX EIGENFREQUENCIES OF A 1D-3D MULTI-STRUCTURE

We consider vibrations of a massive three-dimensional bodyΩ* supported by thin cylindrical rods which are parallel to each other. We assume that the number of rods, say K, is greater than three and the junction points (where the rods are attached toΩ*) do not belong to the same straight line. We present comparisons between explicit asymptotic formulae and finite element computations to prove the efficiency of the approach.
