Moblin is a Linux-based software platform for building visually rich, dynamic, and connected applications that run on devices based on Intel Atom processor technology. Moblin's common core allows application portability for running on devices such as MIDs and Netbooks. Moblin.org provides a complete software stack and Linux based open source OS standard for a whole new class of devices from MIDs to Netbooks and SetTops. Attendees will learn about the components of the Moblin.org software stack and the Moblin Software Development Kit (SDK). They will learn how to use the Moblin Image Creator and the Moblin API to deploy OS images and applications, how to use PowerTop to optimize for power usage and how to use various tools to optimize their applications and ensure Moblin compliance.
