In this study of nanosized manganese-zinc ferrites, particularly, two aspects were investigated in-depth for the main product being Mn_(0.65)Zn_(0.35Fe_2O_4: i) The influence of the method followed during the material preparation, and ii) The effect of the varying stoichiometry of the powder compared with its properties. Earlier work in the area of the group involves, among other, the preparation of nanocrystalline hydroxy-ferric oxides and their application as adsorbents in environmental technology - see for instance [1-3].
