摘要

The mechanical performances and green function of Polyoxymethylene (POM) were modified by the incorporation of Poly (lactic acid) (PLA) in order to expand the limitation of POM application and be friendly with the environment. This blend system exhibited the extreme high elongation even tensile modulus and strength slightly dropped, because they are a partial miscible blend [1]. However, another testing should be investigated to study the effect of PLA on POM blends. Friction and wear property is the main study of this research. Because POM is a low friction and high wear resistant material. With these properties, POM has been used to fabricate a small gear or bearing in electronics application and precision machinery. Thus, the study of friction and wear properties is very important when PLA was added into POM.
