Solubilities of butane and isobutane in molten poly(lactide) (PLA) and poly(butylene succinate) (PBS) were measured at pressures up to 3 MPa. The solubilities increased linearly with pressure and decreased with temperature. Solubility of butane in PBS system was 40% higher than that of isobutane. Solubility of butane in PLA was 45% higher than that of isobutane. Solubility in PLA system was slightly higher than that in PBS system.
