摘要

Recently, it has become popular to make prototype models with RP (Rapid Prototyping) machines, which can make prototype models automatically and rapidly. In particular, the models made with FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) RP machine, which makes thermoplastics models, are expected to be used for the estimation of mechanical properties of final products. In the previous report, we tested mechanical properties of specimens made with FDM. And we confirmed that these properties depend on the modeling direction and thickness. In this study, we researched on the mechanical properties of box shaped models made with FDM and injection molding. And we confirmed that the RP models are useful to estimate the mechanical properties of final products.
