Process and Energy Optimization in a High Tech Food Plant

Higher energy prices have made many energy conservation projects viable. At Basic American Foods the energy conservation effort started out as almost the exclusive property of the Engineering Department. As good project began to noticeably reduce energy cost, plant operations became more involved. The involvement of operations doubled the potential savings from energy conservation.
