PREDICTION OF MACHINE STOCK AND PAPER SHEET PROPERTIES WITH ONLINE PULP QUALITY MEASUREMENTS

This paper gives a brief introduction to the prediction of quality properties of machine stock and eventually strength properties of the paper sheet. Predictions are based on on-line quality measurements of different pulps (mechanical and chemical pulp, broke, machine stock, and pulp from the fiber recovery), process data and laboratory measurements. Modeling and prediction of machine stock and paper sheet properties has been made using linear models.
