Energy retrofitting of old test hall as part of the EU project BRITA in PuBs

Among 23 European companies and institutions Cenergia Energy Consultants is participating in an Integrated Project (BRITA in PuBs) [1] in the field of Eco-buildings [2] under 6th Framework Programme of the European Union. The project aims to increase the market penetration of innovative and effective retrofit solutions to improve energy efficiency and implement renewable energy technologies in buildings, with moderate additional costs. This will be realised by the exemplary retrofit of 8 demonstration public buildings. The targets for the demonstration buildings are to half the energy use and at the same time reduce the percentage dissatisfied by a factor 2. One of these buildings is Proevehallen ("The test hall") in Copenhagen. The retrofit will transform Proevehallen into a public cultural centre.
