We investigated the effect of blast furnace slag in an alkali atmosphere with regards to the physical properties of a 3-component diagram of Slag-OPC-AG. We used Na{sub}2SO{sub}4, (1.0%) as an alkali activator and naphthalene series (0.5%) as a superplasticizer, and studied changes in flow and compressive strength according to the mortar (cement : sand : water = 1 : 2.45 : 0.485). In addition, we also measured changes in compressive strength that resulted from curing periods of 3, 7 and 28 days, and made a statistical analysis by the mixture design of the experiment. The results showed that overall compressive strength increases as the OPC content increases, and that blast furnace slag in an alkali atmosphere increases compressive strength when combined with an increase in the curing period.
