Macroporous platinum-tungsten trioxide (Pt/WO_3) particles were successfully prepared by spray drying of a precursor containing WO_3nanoparticles (NPs), Pt solution, and polystyrene template (PS, as colloidal template). The macroporous structure were tailored bychanging the mass ratio of WO_3 NPs to PS. The used of WO_3 NPs resulted small cavities that may contributed for further enhancement ofsurface area. Photocatalytic analysis results showed that changes in particles morphology and addition of Pt as co-catalyst effectivelyimproved photocatalytic performance, which was approximately 5 times higher than that of bare 10 nm WO_3 NPs.
