In the past study, we clarified the chemical substance removal performance and its emission rates of room fresheners. The present study aimed at determing the formaldehyde and VOCs removal performance of spray-type room fresheners by using the environmental test-chamber. Results showed that removal performance or CADR[m~3/h] of formaldehyde ranged from 0.41 to 0.45 [m~3/h], and also removal performance of VOCs ranged from 0.01 to 4.68[m~3/h]. The largest chemical substance removal performance was shown in 2-propanol and its value was 4.68[m~3/h]. And their performance was quite small as compared with other products such as domestic air cleaners.
