The development of air cleaner with HEPA filter for infection control in clinical lobby

We developed the thin style air cleaner with HEPA filter combined with commercial lobby chair (as referred as ASC). We evaluated the ASC' s performance at small guest room. And also, we tested at outpatient waiting lobby of pediatrics in the K-hospital in Saitama prefecture last July and this January. We observed that airborne particle was reduced about 1/10 and airborne microbe was reduced about 1/3 which is classified as class 100,000 biologically clean room as described in NASA standard (NHB5340.2). In this paper, we report the specifications and the performance data of the ASC.
